Beginning Fall 2025, new college students and students who completed college courses during high school, and graduated in Spring 2025 are required to follow Cal-GETC:

 

COC Associate Degree GE Requirements

AA/AS GE 2025-26

• Follow these general education requirements to earn an associate degrees from College of the Canyons that is not an Associates Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T).
• Students intent on transfer should consult with Counseling to confirm their appropriate general education pathway.

 

 

Cal-GETC UC/CSU General Education Requirements

Cal-GETC 2025-26

• Follow these general education requirements to transfer to a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU).
• This general education pathway meets the requirement to graduate with an Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T).

For students who began attending College of the Canyons prior to Summer 2025 and remained continuously enrolled, without missing four consectutive terms (fall, winter, spring, summer):

• Follow these general education requirements to transfer to a California State University (CSU).
