Objectives

1. Compose comparison/contrast, process, cause/effect, and classification paragraphs using accurate grammatical structures and appropriate academic vocabulary.
2. Prepare an essay in different modes using accurate grammatical structures and appropriate academic vocabulary.
3. Research a given topic and paraphrase that information for use in an academic paragraph.
4. Apply a variety of appropriate and accurate tenses, use academic voice, and use mode-appropriate transitions.
