Traci began teaching at California State University, Northridge, as a TA in the 90s for the Department of Communication Studies. While as a TA, she focused her studies with an emphasis on feminist rhetoric. After receiving her M.A. degree, she remained on the faculty at Northridge, as a part-time instructor in a variety of courses. In the summer of 2002, she was hired by College of the Canyons as a part-time instructor of Communication Studies. Traci is fascinated by the warmthof the students, faculty, support staff, and campus. Tracis teaching has earned her several awards and recognitions: Whos Who Among Americans Teachers, Masters Teaching Excellence Award, Outstanding Educator. Traci was also a contributing writer of a book entitled On the Backs of Giants a compilation of letters and biographies of famous figures in American culture addressed to high school students.
